Award- winning security and a real pioneering achievement: As the first company in their country BAG electronics Inc.- Philippines have won the newly created “K Ligtas (Kuryente Ligtas) Electrical Safety Excellence Award”. It is the country’s first award which appreciates the organizations and businesses not only for their excellent electrical safety but also for their promotion of safety at work. The prize was awarded at the SMX Convention Center in the middle of November. The 41. Annual meeting of the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE) took place at the same time. Therefore high personalities like the IIEE national president Engr. Larry Cruz was in attendance.
Numerous state institutions, independent laboratories and universities are involved in the decision. The Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, the Department of Labor and Employment’s Occupational Safety and Health Center, the Professional Regulation Commission Board of Electrical Engineering and the Bureau of Fire Protection and University of the Philippines were included.
The award was given for the company’s high standards in the area of electronic security. The focus was on aspects such as machine and plant maintenance, company-wide safety training and health programs. “For over one million operating hours, we have been producing accident-free - a value we are proud of and will continue to expand”, explains Roland Odenthal, Managing Director of BAG electronics, Inc. Philippines.
BAG electronics Inc.- Philippines presented their safety concepts to the experts. During the jury's visit, machines and the electrical infrastructure were thoroughly inspected and interviews were held with management, supervisors and engineers.
